Admission process and guidelines

1. Admission Authorities & Routes
   • Admissions are conducted through two categories:
     • 50% Government Quota (TNEA Counselling): Through Anna University Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) Counselling process based on HSC (12th Standard) marks and State rank list.
     • 50% Management Quota: Based on 12th standard marks and merit list prepared by the Institution as per Anna University and Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) norms.
2. Eligibility Criteria
   • For UG (B.E./B.Tech): As per Anna University and State Government norms (minimum marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and eligibility through TNEA or management selection process).
   • For PG (M.E./M.Tech/MBA/MCA): As per Anna University/AICTE/State norms (qualifying degree, minimum percentage, and entrance tests like GATE, TANCET or equivalent where required).
   • For Lateral Entry: Candidates must meet the diploma-to-degree lateral entry eligibility as specified by Anna University.
3. Application & Selection
   • Application modes (online/offline) and timelines will be published in the Institute prospectus and on the college website.
   • Selection will follow the published merit / rank lists, reservation rules, and counselling procedures of the competent authority.

Fee Structure & Fee Collection

1. Tuition Fees
   • Government Quota (TNEA Counselling) : Tuition fee ₹50,000 per year.
   • Management Quota: Tuition fee ₹85,000 per year.

Additional applicable charges (laboratory, library, exam fee, etc.) are collected as per Anna University and State norms.

1. Fee Heads
   • Tuition fee, development fee, caution deposit (refundable), examination fee, library fee, laboratory fee, hostel fee (if applicable), transport fee (if applicable), and any statutory levies (as applicable).
2. Publication & Transparency
   • The detailed fee structure for every programme (per semester/year) along with payment timeline and modes accepted (online transfer, demand draft, payment gateway, etc.) will be displayed on the college website and prospectus.
3. Receipt & Acknowledgement
   • Every fee payment will be acknowledged with a fee receipt specifying the student name, programme, admission number, amount paid and the fee head.
4. Fee Concessions & Scholarships
   The institution provides various scholarships and concessions to encourage academic excellence and support deserving students:
   • First Graduate Scholarship: Tuition fee concession as per Government of Tamil Nadu norms for students who are the first graduates in their family.
   • Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS): Offered for eligible wards of ex-servicemen and paramilitary personnel, as per Central Government norms.
   • Sports Scholarship: Fee concession or full fee waiver for students excelling at the state, national or international level in recognized sports categories.
   • Free Education Scheme: Full tuition fee waiver for meritorious students from economically weaker sections of society based on income and merit criteria verified by the institution.

 Fee refund policy

Fee Refund / Cancellation / Withdrawal Policy (Aligned to UGC & AICTE guidelines)

Objective: To ensure a transparent, fair and time-bound mechanism for refund of fees in case of cancellation or withdrawal of admission by students, in compliance with UGC and AICTE directions and Anna University requirements.

1. Scope
   • Applies to all students admitted to any programme of the Institute who seek cancellation, withdrawal or migration after paying programme fees.
2. General Principles
   • Refunds will be processed only on written application by the student (or parent/guardian, where applicable) along with original admission documents and fee receipts.
   • Refunds will be made to the account from which the fee was paid or as per the student’s written bank mandate.
3. Refund Rules & Timelines (standardised model)
   • Full Refund (100%): If the candidate cancels admission before the formally notified last date of admission (or within the period where UGC/AICTE requires full refund) — full fees will be refunded.
   • Partial Refund with nominal deduction: If cancellation is after the last date but within a short window specified by authorities, a nominal processing fee (not exceeding the cap prescribed by UGC/AICTE for that academic year) may be deducted.
   • Pro-rata / Slab-based Refund: For cancellations after commencement of classes, refunds (if any) will follow the slab percentages and schedules prescribed in the applicable UGC/AICTE guidance for the academic year.
4. Procedure to Apply for Refund
   • Student submits written cancellation/withdrawal request to the Admissions Office with: admission order/offer letter, original fee receipt, student ID, and reason (optional). The Institute verifies documentation and initiates refund.
5. Timeline for Refund Payment by Institute
   • The Institute will endeavor to complete refund transactions within the period mandated by UGC/AICTE for that academic year upon receipt of a complete application and return of all original certificates.
6. Dispute Resolution
   • Any dispute regarding fee refund will be addressed by the Institute’s Grievance Redressal Committee
