The department took its establishment and initiation in the year 2009 to impart knowledge in ‘General Engineering Concepts’ and ‘Studies’ in ‘Civil Engineering’. The department has well equipped laboratory facilities and highly qualified faculty members having rich experience in teaching and industrial background. Beyond these basics, study of Engineering Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Solid Mechanics and Environmental Engineering Sciences.

The department of civil engineering has  Student Chapter of Professional bodies like ICI and MoU’S with Various organizations like DAIMLER CADD,Chennai,  Dynamic Associates (NDT & Structural Consultants), Chennai, BEN & CHEN Pvt. Ltd. (Smart Transportation) Chennai and M/s. Parkadal Energy Private Ltd., Chennai

The department of Civil Engineering is actively involved in consultancy,training and industrial collaborations – VELCITI Consultants Pvt. Ltd, Chennai, b. Dynamic Associates, Chennai C. Daimler CADD , Total Station by SSM Surveys & Engineering, Chennai. Some of the significant recruiters visited are L&T-ECC, SAIPEM India Pvt. Ltd, SHOBA DEVELOPERS , and BILIMORA Constructions, WIPRO, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI etc.

The department obtained MSME project namely, ‘marine battery electricity from sea water-M/s. Parkadal Energy Private Ltd’ Chennai and TNSCST PROJECT: Received  students project worth rupees 10,000 from Tamil Nadu state council for science and technology, Detecting Maturity of concrete using temperature sensor.

PEO1: Our graduates will exhibit excellent proficiency in identifying analyzing, formulating and solving different civil engineering problems.

PEO2: Our Students will develop appropriate skills that will lead themforimmediate employment in the construction industry orpostgraduate study in Civil Engineering disciplines.

PEO3: Our students will develop a high level of aptitude and acumen in design, drafting and drawing various components of civil engineering.
