The Department of Aerospace Engineering at Jeppiaar Engineering College was recently launched, building upon the rich legacy of our Aeronautical Engineering programme (established in 2008). This new programme is designed to empower students with modern aerospace domain knowledge, aligning with cutting‑edge technological advances in aviation, space systems, satellite design, and propulsion.
Our department is accredited by AICTE and follows the curriculum framework prescribed by Anna University.
Vision & Mission
Vision: Nurture visionary engineers who will become leaders in aerospace innovation, propelled by scientific excellence, ethical values, entrepreneurial spirit, and societal responsibility.
Mission:
- Provide strong fundamentals in aerospace engineering theory and practice.
- Enhance technical competence via industry collaborations and emerging research.
- Equip graduates to contribute to system integration, satellite, UAV, and space technologies.
- Promote interdisciplinary and sponsored research projects with academic and industrial partners.
PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOS)
PEO1: To impart fundamental scientific principles for solving complex engineering problems in different domains of Aerospace engineering.
PEO2: To train the students to have successful career in the field of Aerospace Engineering and allied domains, contributing to the global economy.
PEO3: To inculcate ethical values and professional integrity, enabling the students to grow and contribute to the world
PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSO)
