The department of management studies in Jeppiaar Engineering College established during 2001 as an independent and separate entity by offering a two year masters program in business administration (MBA).
The objective of the MBA Program is.

- To adhere to the highest Standards of academic integrity and overall ethical standards.
- To enhance creativity and innovation skills and to transform academic learning into business excellence
- To develop effective and efficient business Managers, Entrepreneurs and responsible citizens.
Academic Excellence
The department provides all specializations prescribed by Anna University (Finance, Marketing, Human resources management, Systems and Operations). Apart from this, value added courses such as TALLY-ERP 11.0, FINANCIAL MODELING, SPSS, AMOS, National Institute of Securities Market-NISM Certification, National Stock Exchange-NCFM, Association of Mutual Funds in India-AMFI Certification.
Yoga, meditation, communication skills, negotiation skills, stress management, lateral thinking, creativity and innovation, Periodic industrial visits, workshops and seminars are provided to our students. Students are motivated to participate in various management meet, seminars, workshops, national and international Conferences to gain more practical exposure to face the competition in the market. The department organizes membership for the students in the education forums of Newspapers (ET Club & Business Line Club). The students are enrolled for membership with Madras Management Association (MMA), Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) which provides insights of trending management happening globally.
Entrepreneurship Development
The Department focuses on the future well-being of the students by imparting the nuances of entrepreneurial skill through the active E-Cell of the college by organizing the awareness programmes; enhance entrepreneurial skills and develop investor connectivity.
Training focussed on placement for all specializations is provided for students and the department takes pride in placing with various corporate companies and MNCs, on an average annual salary package of rupees 5 lakhs.
LIBRARY
The central library, architecture to International standards spread through a vast stretch of 24,000sq.m. The mission of the Library is to provide information services and access to bibliographic and full text digital and printed resources to support the student and faculty needs of the Institution. The library houses prescribed reference and text books for the engineering and technology programmes. The library houses approximately 10000 Titles with 147044 volumes of Books and 1046 CDs. The library has access to 396+ e-resources, IEEE & DELNET journals.
The Library has the facility of searching books and journals by using Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Newspapers, weekly and fortnightly magazines of repute are subscribed to enable the students to keep abreast of day-to-day trends. The library is equipped with Bar-coding, Internet connectivity and reprography facility. The library provides services such as access to digital contents and book bank facility.
The library has membership with Anna University Library and British Council Library. The Library is open for access to information on all working days from 8AM – 6PM.

The campus placement process for Jeppiaar Engineering College (MBA) class of 2015-2017, witnessed an outstanding season with over 64% of the students being placed .The placement season saw participation from recruiters like ICICI Securities, Ceasefire, Kotak Life Insurance, SocieteGenerale, JainHousing, IdeaPlus, Religare, Avacend, Vivo, CareerNet, BajajCapital, Covenant, BNY Mellon, RR Donnelley, Karvy, Payoda. While the class of 2018 saw the largest ever, the placements were significantly faster than any of the previous years with the record of 91% of students already receiving final placement offers.
