Centre for research is entrusted with the responsibility of promoting technology development through Ph.D programmes (full time / part time), sourcing funded projects, motivating consultancy works, organizing trainings, publications and patents.
The Centre for Research in Biotechnology department has facilitated faculty to pursue their doctoral programmes, have sourced research grants from Govt. funding agencies like AICTE, TNSCST, DST and ICMR. The centre for research has organized several value added courses, hands-on workshops, national and international conferences and faculty development programmes. The centre has the pride of more than 60 publications in journals of repute with a significant H-index and has filed on an average 12 patents per annum.
